Rotary Interact Club members from Cutter Morning Star High School recently spent three hours at Jackson House cooking, assembling and serving 125 lunches as a club service project.

The students followed group size limitations posed at the time while school was still in session, according to a news release. Oaklawn Rotary Club sponsors the CMS Interact Club as well as the Fountain Lake High School Interact Club, fostering leadership, integrity and community service.

Helping facilitate the event were Jennifer Coats, CMS Interact Club facilitator, Eleanor Sherfield, Oaklawn Rotary member and Interact Club liaison, and Tammy Jones, resource development and volunteer administrator for Jackson House.

Some of the Interact Club members helped with the Oaklawn Rotary's highway cleanup in November as well as the Oaklawn Rotary Christmas Parade last December.

"Their leadership, can-do attitude and compassion for others are inspiring," Oaklawn Rotary President Terry Edens said in the release.
