Brief standoff at hotel ends peacefully

The fifth floor of SunBay Resort on Lake Hamilton was evacuated Sunday during a brief standoff between an unidentified suspect and Hot Springs police.

According to Officer 1st Class Omar Cervantes, community relations officer for the Hot Springs Police Department, the suspect was taken into custody without incident.
