Norm Morton, 78, of Hot Springs Village, passed away Aug. 13, 2020. He was born April 13, 1942, in Eldon, Iowa, to the late Charles and Grace Morton. He graduated from Parsons College in Fairfield, Iowa, where he earned a BS in Music Education.

Norm and his wife, Donna, moved to Hot Springs Village 20 years ago from Illinois, where he owned and operated his own business, N.L. Morton Bldgs., a post frame construction company.

Norm was a member of Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church. He was a talented musician and enjoyed playing the tuba, piano and organ. Norm was a member of The Hot Springs Village Polka Dots, The Hot Springs Village Dixielanders, The Hot Springs Village Big Band, Hot Springs Brass and the Hot Springs Concert Band. Norm also sang in The Village Chorale and church choirs.

Loving survivors include his wife of 32 years, Donna Morton; daughter, Kathy (Paul) Baker; daughter, Cindy (Jim) Taulbee; brothers, Dean Morton and Adrian Morton; four grandchildren, David Taulbee, Andrew Taulbee, Allison Baker and Ross Baker; four great-grandchildren; and nephew, Alex Morton.

There will be a private family service.
