Julie Anne Johnson, 49, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Aug. 17, 2020.

She was born Dec. 19, 1970, in Ottowa, Ill., to William and Aletha (Bryan) Steinbach.

Julie was preceded in death by her mother and two aunts.

Julie was a faithful member of Gospel Light Baptist Church since moving to Arkansas 12 years ago. Her greatest passion was investing in others. Everyone who knew her knew she had a love for giving and entertaining others. One of her greatest joys was to experience new food and travel with her husband, Chet, her best friend and life partner. Mexico was her favorite travel destination. The Christmas Eve gathering her and her husband put together every year became legendary. She truly had a servant's heart from God and touched many people in her life. She will be sorely missed by so many people.

Survivors include her father, William Steinbach; husband of 19 years, Chet Johnson; sons, Justin Johnson (Jackie), Nicholas Schuman (Carrie); daughter, Kayla Johnson; brothers, Shane Steinbach, Marcus Steinbach (Andria); and grandchildren, Zain, Zaleigh, Zayda and Grayson Piccatto.

A celebration of Julie's life will be held at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 600 Garland Ave., Hot Springs, Ark., at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2020. Any and all are welcome to attend.
