Elks Lodge 380 dedicates 'Big Elk' statue

Members of Elks Lodge 380 gathered for the formal dedication of the "Big Elk" statue that has been installed in front of the lodge at 132 Abbott Place.

Chaplain Estelle Sams gave a benediction, and Exalted Ruler Bill Sams, David Ross, PER, DDGER, and Donnie Golden, PSP, all spoke, thanking the donors.

Jim Brumley, the director of the Card Room, recognized the following members who donated the statue: Jim Brumley, Scotty Caroom, Ralph Cross, Sammy Eubank, Rick Goff, Fred Kelsay, David Wetzler, and Herb Wright, a news release said.

Members John Junkerman and David Wetzler also were honored for their special contributions to the actual installation of the "Big Elk."

"The statue will be enjoyed by all Elks and their guests who visit the lodge," the release said.
