American Legion to hold monthly meeting
Post 13 American Legion, 3237 Albert Pike, will conduct its monthly meeting on Monday following a potluck meal at 6:30 p.m.
Commander Tracy Watson will lead the group. The agenda will include sharing reports from the district meeting hosted by Post 13 in January. Also, plans for the yearly support of Arkansas Boys and Girls states will be discussed.
The post representative will also report on the state meeting held in North Little Rock in January.
New members are always welcome, as well as any member of another post. The 40/8 Post Lounge is opened daily, except Christmas Day, from noon to 10 p.m. Sunday and Monday, and from noon to midnight other days. Pool tables are available, as well as darts. Patrons who are at least 21 are welcome at the lounge by signing the register.
HSV Genealogical Society to meet
The Hot Springs Village Genealogical Society will meet at 2 p.m. Thursday in Room 6 of the Coronado Center in Hot Springs Village.
The February meeting will honor patriots and other notable Americans, with member volunteer speakers presenting their "Family Ties with Famous Americans."
The society meets the first Thursday of each month from September through May. Visitors from outside the Village can get passes and directions at either the East or West Gate entrances to Hot Springs Village.
