Visitors Chapel A.M.E.

celebrates Men's Day

Visitors Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church, 319 Church St., will celebrate Men's Day 2020 at 3 p.m. Sunday with the Rev. Douglas A. Jones of Garrett Chapel MBC in Hope. The morning worship service will be at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Gregory E. Guinn Sr., associate pastor of Visitors Chapel AME Church, who will bring the message "Men Answering the Call to Walk With Christ." Everyone is welcome.

Greater St. Paul honors

Black History Month

Greater St. Paul Baptist Church, 497 Crescent, will celebrate Black History Month during morning worship Sunday with guest speaker Kristy Carter, director of Marketing for the Division of Outreach and Community Engagement at the University of Central Arkansas.

The theme for the program is "Rise Up!" Pastor Kenneth R. Gulley will give the spoken word with music provided by the Young People's Choir. The public is welcome to attend. Call 501-617-2331 for more information.

to present film today

Unitarian Universalist Village Church, 403 Barcelona Road, will present the film, "American Heretics: The Politics of the Gospel," free of charge at 3 p.m. today. Seating is not allowed once the film has started; the main doors will open at 2:30 p.m.

celebrates anniversary

Immanuel Christian Fellowship Church, 1536 E. Grand Ave., will celebrate the 29th Church Anniversary at 3 p.m. Sunday.

The theme is "The Year of Expectation" with Pastor Donald R. Crossley Sr. of St. Mark Baptist Church as the guest speaker from St. Mark Baptist Church.

Village Bible Church

to hold women's retreat

Village Bible Church, 100 Ponderosa Way, will hold a women's retreat on Saturday, Feb. 22, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. based on the book by Karen Porter, "I'll Bring the Chocolate."
