2019 ASM Super Team comprised of 27 seniors

BATESVILLE -- All 27 players chosen to the 2019 Arkansas Sports Media High School Football Super Team are seniors and the two juniors who made last year's team return this year.

The 2019 Super Team, voted on by a panel of sportswriters, sportscasters and other sports media was released Wednesday afternoon. And unlike last year's team, there were no unanimous choices this year.

Pulaski Academy's Braden Bratcher was selected as the top quarterback after he led the Bruins to the Class 5A State Championship a year after they were defeated by rival Little Rock Christian in the title game. For the 2019 season, Bratcher passed for 5,196 yards and 51 touchdowns against just 10 interceptions.

Harrison running back Gabe Huskey is the first of two two-time selections this year as he ran for 1,632 yards and 31 touchdowns. In 2018, Huskey ran for 2,150 yards and three touchdowns. The Goblins went 23-2 over the last two years, losing only to Pulaski Academy in each season.

North Little Rock running back Brandon Thomas ran for 1,225 yards and 16 touchdowns as the Charging Wildcats were 7A state runners-up for the second year in a row.

Fayetteville wide receiver Connor Flannigan is the second two-time Super Team selection this year. He caught 66 passes for 1,088 yards with 15 touchdowns. In two years, he caught 168 passes for 2,783 yards and 35 touchdowns.

Bryant wide receiver Jake Meaders had 884 receiving yards and 16 touchdowns to help the Hornets to their second straight Class 7A state title.

Shiloh Christian wide receiver Truitt Tollett caught 134 passes for a whopping 2,046 yards touchdown. He also hauled in 30 touchdown passes, a state record.

West Memphis' Chris Morris, Bentonville West's Jaden Muskrat, North Little Rock's Erin Smith, Conway's Robert Scott and El Dorado's Dalton Perdue were named the top offensive linemen. Every one of them has singed a letter of intent to place at an FBS school: Morris is going to Texas A&M, Muskrat is going to Tulsa, Smith and Perdue are going to SMU and Scott is going to Ole Miss.

Bryant's Austin Bailey, Benton's Brett Barbaree, Jonesboro's Jashaud Stewart and Hazen's Blayne Toll were named the top defensive linemen. Stewart and Toll are head to Fayetteville to play for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Stewart led the state with 17 sacks and registered 114 tackles.

Joe T. Robinson had two linebackers make the team, J.T. Stowers and Chandler McIntosh. Stowers, another Arkansas commit, had 180 tackles and 11 sacks. McIntosh led the state with 213 tackles to go with 12 sacks.

Harrison linebacker Brooks Both had 115 tackles and finished his career with the Goblins with 357 tackles and 10 sacks.

Bryant linebacker Catrell Wallace, another Arkansas signee, had 60 tackles for the Class 7A champs.

Robinson defensive back P.J. Hall had 68 tackles and three interceptions.

Pulaski Academy defensive back Clay Jame hauled in nine interceptions.

Bryant defensive back Darrick Rose had five interceptions

Fort Smith Northside's Montay Parks had 57 tackles and seven interceptions.

Bentonville kicker Logan Turner was 47 of 49 on PATs and 9 of 11 on field goals.

Searcy punter Bryce Dixon averaged a state-best 48.1 yards per punt

Smackover's Jaqueze Modica, returned six punts for touchdowns

Morrilton quarterback Jacolby Criswell did everything for the Devil Dogs to lead them to the state semifinals in 2019. Criswell passed for 2,869 yards and 27 touchdowns and he also ran for 1,282 yards and 24 touchdowns. He also threw only five interceptions all season and only 12 for his three-year career. Criswell graduated from high school in December and is already enrolled at North Carolina.
