The Hot Springs Debutante Coterie presented 18 young ladies to society at the 74th Annual Red Rose Charity Ball in the Crystal Ballroom of the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa on Saturday, Dec. 21.
The ballroom was decorated with hundreds of red roses that provided a stunning backdrop for the presentation by Master of Ceremony Mr. Forrest Spicher. Music by the Clyde Pound Trio with Clyde Askew on drums, David Higginbotham on upright bass, and Clyde Pound on keyboard, accompanied the young ladies during the presentation.
Afterward, the debutantes, their friends, and families enjoyed a reception and dance with music provided by DJ Xavier Riley of Little Rock.
A private candlelight dinner was held at the Arlington prior to the presentation for the debutantes and their families. The previous evening, the debutantes and their escorts were treated to a rehearsal dinner in the Fountain Room of the Arlington Hotel. Hostesses were Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Harry Armstrong, Ms. Laurie Bishop, Mr. Gaylon Boshears, Ms. Gina Boshears, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Dowdy, Dr. and Mrs. Shane Hardin, Ms. Malka Ivy, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Malone, Mr. and Mrs. Dan McDonough, Dr. and Mrs. Eric Monte, Mr. and Mrs. Len Pitcock, Dr. and Mrs. Douglas Ross, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Tribble, and the Rev. and Mrs. Lamar Trieschmann.
The Hot Springs Debutante Program works to impart the social and moral responsibility of community service through participation in Our Promise Cancer Resources, http://www.ourpromise.info. This local nonprofit organization provides financial, professional and educational assistance to cancer patients and their families. All funds raised by Our Promise Cancer Resources stay in the local community -- an important factor to both Our Promise and the Hot Springs Debutante Coterie. Over the past seven years, the Debutante Coterie has raised over $68,000 for Our Promise, with this year's guests contributing over $8,700 to the grand total.

Miss Katelyn Nicole Beckwith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory Allen Beckwith, who attends Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She was presented by her father and escorted by her brother, Peyton Louis Beckwith. He attends Mountain Pine Junior High.
