Two Hot Springs men were arrested late Thursday on murder and battery charges after a shooting that left one man dead and another injured with multiple gunshot wounds outside a residence on Sterling Circle.

Bradley Angelo Daniels, 20, and Christian Hutson Arthur, 21, both of 137 Sterling Circle, where the incident occurred, have each been charged with second-degree murder, punishable by up to 30 years in prison, for the death of Christopher Contreras-Beaty, 27, and first-degree battery, punishable by up to 20 years, for injuries sustained by the second victim, identified as Na’Anthony Leon Henderson, 25.

Daniels and Arthur both appeared via video in Garland County District Court Friday morning where they each pleaded not guilty to all charges. They had been held on zero bond initially, but Judge Joe Graham set bond at $100,000 for each at Friday’s hearing.

Graham also issued a court order barring both men from future contact with Henderson or his family or with Contreras-Beaty’s family and a gag order limiting pretrial publicity in the case. A felony review hearing for each is set for Aug. 31.
