Leonard Carroll Bridges passed away from this earth on June 25, 2020. Born on Aug. 20, 1938, he was a lifelong resident of Hot Springs. He was predeceased by father, Arlie F. Bridges and mother, Gussie Bridges Hignight. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Pat Bridges; daughter, Laura Bridges; sons, John and James Bridges; granddaughter, Anna Woolfolk; brothers, Joe (Ann), Arlie (Rita), Michael Hignight and sister, Vivian (Vernon) Milholen, nieces and nephews, and a wealth of friends.

He worked at Dierks/Weyerhaeuser for 40 years after serving in the Navy. After his retirement he volunteered at Jackson House and CHI/St. Vincent Hospital. He was a faithful member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon.

He loved his family dearly and doted on his granddaughter. Just mention any of their names and he would happily tell you all about them.

He was a member of the Downtown Lions Club, served as president, and received the Man of The Year Award as well as receiving the Melvin Jones Fellow Award.

He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was a founding member of the Piles Lake Hunting Club where he was affectionately known as Mr. B and is an honorary lifetime member.

Visitation will be held at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home from 5-7 p.m. on Sunday, June 28. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday June 29, at Greenwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church. Please practice social distancing and also wear face masks.
