A trusted skilled nursing care provider

Senior Scene

Village Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation is a trusted source for services when you are discharged from a hospital.

Licensed health professionals, such as nurses and therapists, provide the care ordered by a doctor. When you need round-the-clock medical care, Village Springs offers bed and board, physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy, and other services necessary to the health of their patient.

If your caregiver can no longer provide the support you need, Village Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation has a modern facility for short or long term stays. Village Springs also offers a secure unit for people who have received a diagnosis of Alzheimer's or dementia.

Medicare should pay for skilled nursing facility care if:

• The patient was hospitalized as an inpatient for at least three days and was admitted to the SNF within 30 days of hospital discharge. (In unusual cases, it can be more than 30 days.)

• A physician certifies that the patient needs SNF care.

• The beneficiary requires skilled nursing or skilled rehabilitation services, or both, on a daily basis. Skilled nursing and skilled rehabilitation services are those which require the skills of technical or professional personnel such as nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists. In order to be deemed skilled, the service must be so inherently complex that it can be safely and effectively performed only by, or under the supervision of, professional or technical personnel.

• The skilled nursing facility is a Medicare-certified facility.

Medicaid and most insurance plans are also accepted at Village Springs, contact the business office to discuss details.
