The Garland County Sheriff's Department is investigating an incident in which a Hot Springs man was reportedly shot at Saturday while spinning his tires in his ex-girlfriend's driveway.

The complainant, 50, stated he had gone to the home of his ex-girlfriend on Sparkle Terrace, located off the 700 block of Crystal Hill Road, and as he drove up he "did a cookie," or spun his tires in the gravel driveway, and his truck died.

As he restarted his truck, he said he heard several gunshots and heard them hitting his truck and then felt "something sting his shoulder." He said he left the scene, called 911 and then drove to his home on Cooper Street.

Sheriff's deputies made contact with the man at his home and he reportedly stated he thought the shooter might have been his ex-girlfriend's son, 19. Sheriff's investigators responded to the residence and Sgt. John Greathouse processed the man's truck for evidence.

The incident was still under investigation Monday, but no charges had been filed.
