April Michelle Pollefeyt was born Dec. 17, 1973, to Petrella (Bonner) of Hot Springs and Robert Pollefeyt, in Detroit, Mich., and her homegoing was on March 17, 2020, at her home in Arlington, Texas.

She was predeceased by her grandson, Braiden Josiah Cyr.

April graduated from San Mateo High School in San Mateo, Calif., in May 1991. She had recently completed four years of college from Liberty University in criminal law and wanted to become a lawyer and advocate for underprivileged mothers. April was looking forward to receiving her Bachelor's Degree.

April had accepted Jesus Christ in her life and had recently found a new church home. She had expressed to her mom how happy she was to have found such happiness through finding and giving her life to Jesus, and how smart she was in finishing her exams and college credits.

April leaves to mourn, her husband, Andy Bakas; her dad and mom, Robert and Petrella (Bonner) Pollefeyt; her daughters, Andrea Cyr and Alana Neal; her sister, Nedra Pollefeyt; and uncles, Harry (Marian) Bonner and Larry (Dorothine) Bonner; her nephews, Tyleur, Jalen and Cameron; and many cousins, best friends and loved ones.

A memorial service will be planned and announced in the future.
