The Hot Springs Children's Dance Theatre Company's presentation of "Cinderella," originally scheduled for May, has been postponed, according to its board of directors.

"The production performance date will be announced as soon as we have a prospective on future circumstances," the board said in an email.

The Cinderella Tea, The Set Design Course, the Educational Outreach Program and all promotional events will also be rescheduled in conjunction with the rescheduling of Cinderella.

"Also, as an employer for performers, teaching artists and technicians, this is a very hard decision for HSCDTC because we are aware of the domino effect it levels on the livelihood of so many," the release said.

"Since our inception, we have worked hard to offer an affordable priced ticket to all, while at the same time providing an unmatched professional work of art for children, families and artists. We are proud of our family friendly staff and board of directors. All the performers have worked very hard nightly for two months to prepare for May and their diligence and commitment is to be commended. We would like to thank also our guest artist offering their time and expertise," it said.

The studio will remain closed until April 14, with a revaluation of the situation at that time.

"At Children's Theatre we are committed to providing a daily regiment of classical training and are working to make every effort to provide that opportunity, as soon as possible. The need and deserve it," the release said.
