Texas woman killed in wreck near Malvern

A Texas woman was killed Thursday afternoon in a collision on Interstate 30 near Malvern in Hot Spring County, according to an Arkansas State Police preliminary fatal crash summary.

Meghan Frazier, 20, of Hallsville, Texas, driving a 2019 Jeep was eastbound on I-30 near the 97 mile marker shortly after 1:30 p.m. when a 2016 International truck changed lanes ahead of her and began slowing down for traffic ahead.

Frazier's vehicle struck the rear end of the International and then continued across the adjacent traffic lane, coming to rest south of the highway. Frazier was killed and a juvenile passenger, age not listed, in her vehicle was injured and transported to Malvern Baptist Hospital.

The report notes it was clear and dry at the time of the wreck. The name of the driver of the truck was not listed.
