Summer is almost officially here! Time for picnics, boat rides, family vacations and all the fun things that come with the summer months!
For our elderly, though, summer can be tricky .... we need to keep an eye on elderly people we know and see to it they have air conditioning or some kind of cooling method when the temperatures go sky high into the 90s and 100s.
If you know someone who is alone and elderly and they could possibly use some help, tell them to give us a call at Superior Senior Care and we will see what we can do, even if it's only someone to check on them and see to it that they have meals, some socialization and are comfortable.
We have a registry of caregivers to choose from and they are independent contractors, so they actually work for the client once we refer them to that client. If you are a Medicaid client, there are certain rules that must be followed by the state, but if you are a private-pay or Long Term Care Insurance client they can do things to help you such as taking you to the grocery store, light housekeeping, bathing assistance, getting dressed or just plain companionship.
In my years of being with this company, Superior Senior Care, I have seen so much and if I could take all of the elderly under my wing, trust me, I would.
