Joyce A. Denson, born March 17, 1947, passed from this life on Nov. 4, 2020.

She was formerly employed as the manager of The Arky House, and she was a substitute teacher at Cutter Morning Star School. Joyce was a member of Bismarck Pentecostal Church.

She will be greeted in Heaven by her parents, Billie Trout and Duffie and Esther Tillery; and her infant son.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Plaze Denson; her daughter, Shauna Denson; her sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Jimmy Bates and Janice and Richard Fennema; numerous nieces; nephews; cousins; and her dog, "Doddles."

Services will be held 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, 2020, in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Hot Springs, with Brother Van Glidewell, Brother Blair Bates and Brother Shane Robertson officiating.

Interment will be in Antioch Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until service time.

Social distancing directives will be in place with no more than 100 persons at any one time in the funeral home chapel, avoidance of physical contact and all attendees 10 years of age or older must be wearing a face covering at all times when inside the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Bates, Scott Bates, Lloyd Robertson, Richard Fennema, Nolen DuBose and Jimmy Bates.

Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Bates, John Foster, Ron Joyce and David Robertson.
