LITTLE ROCK -- Elizabeth Walker Rather, age 98, of Little Rock and formerly of Hot Springs and Union City, Tenn., died Nov. 19, 2020.
She was born on Sept. 7, 1922, in Dallas, Texas, to Nannie Dudley Barrow and Douglas and Bonita Walker. She was preceded in death by her husband (1994) of 56 years, Walter L. Rather of Hot Springs; a son, W. Douglas Rather (2014) of Rogers, an infant son, Walter D. Rather; and brothers, Louis J. and Dudley F. Nicolosi of Plaquemine, La.
She is survived by her son, John D. Rather (Rebecca) of Little Rock; daughter-in-law, Shirley Rather of Rogers; four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elizabeth managed the gift shops at Ouachita Hospital and National Park Hospital Auxiliaries in Hot Springs for many years and was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
