HOT SPRINGS VILLAGE -- Altrusa delivered a total of 243 dictionaries this school year, made possible in part by a grant from the Hot Springs Village Community Foundation Inc., an affiliate of Arkansas Community Foundation.

"The current academic year is like none other, given the current COVID-19 crisis," a news release said. "Students utilizing the online learning option most definitely need access to a dictionary and those students opting for in-person learning will have their own personal dictionary thus eliminating the need to share books."

Altrusa delivered dictionaries for third-graders at Jessieville, Fountain Lake and Cutter Morning Star elementary schools. This has been an ongoing project of Altrusa since 2008. To date, nearly 3,000 students have received their own personal dictionary through Altrusa.
