Hot Springs Emblem Club No. 194 donated 55 turkeys and baskets filled with everything needed to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving meal to needy families in our community Monday at Elks Lodge No. 380. Also, the Hot Springs School District donated 55 backpacks filled with a week's supply of snacks and cereals. From left are Emblem members Sharyn Cole, Emblem Club No. 194 President Ginger Yates and Beverly Goodridge; Margaret Freeman, parent coordinator for the Hot Springs School District; and Emblem member Jackie Covey, who chairs this annual community service project for the club. Over $1,300 was donated for this project by the club's membership.
