Tonight's Gallery Walk will be part of Arts & The Park, the 10-day festival that showcases a wide variety of local art at multiple locations around town.

The festival, being held through Oct. 4, kicked off with the new "Art Moves" installation along the Hollywood Park portion of the Hot Springs Creek Greenway Trail. In addition to being on display along the trail, many of the "Art Moves" artists' original pieces will be available for viewing tonight.

Tonight's Gallery Walk includes the following:

• All Things Arkansas, 610 Central Ave. -- Ben Carey performs live, with wine and refreshments.

• American Art Gallery and Gifts LLC, 724 Central Ave. -- Featuring Valerie Hanks-Goetz's new work.

"To see someone smile when looking at the work of my hands is the greatest compliment I can receive because it means they are sharing my smile. I enjoy doing something that brings honor to my family and tribe, the Muskogee Nation of Florida. I reside on Y Mountain here in Arkansas. My passion to find art in unusual places has grown from the Muskogee belief that everything has a purpose and nothing should be wasted. To me, there is great satisfaction in taking something readily available and creating eco-friendly art with function and artistic beauty," Hanks-Goetz said in a news release.

Also on display will be gourds by Rick Carter, featuring his Navajo designs. Research of the design for each specific gourd evolves into its final portrait. He uses natural trims, antlers, leather and raw materials for embellishments, the release said.

Wall art is by Margaret Kipp, Thomas Kinkade Studio, Jimmy Leach and others. There will be Southwest Jewelry and knives by Claud Lambert, who will be present to discuss his work.

• Blue Waters Fine Art & Design, 430 Valley St. -- The gallery will be open for Gallery Walk from 5-7 p.m., featuring local hand-forged metal designs, sculpture, pottery and paintings. The gallery also shows works by regional, national and international artists. The Art Moves originals "Studio: Woman with Spaces" by A. Margarita Peraza Rugeley and "Bike Spray" by Morgan Herndon will also be on display.

• Circle Gallery at Emergent Arts, 341 Whittington Ave. -- Featuring "The Silent Witness Project," focusing on domestic violence awareness.

• Dryden Pottery, 341 Whittington Ave. -- Featuring in-house formulated glazes and custom blended clay combined to create a finished quality that is easily recognizable as "Dryden."

• Gallery Central, 340 Central Ave. -- Featuring fine art and fashion. Art by James Hayes, Bob Snider, Lee Gibson Art, Paige Morehead Salyer, Amy Hill Imler, Janis Higdon, Houston Llew Spiritiles, Polly Cook, Janis Polychron, Beth Gandy, Sandy Newberg, Jennifer Wilson, Mary Fischer and Ashley Benton.
