A local man was arrested on felony and misdemeanor charges Wednesday after allegedly ramming his ex-girlfriend's car with their juvenile child inside and threatening to kill her.

Joshua Timotheus Henderson, 27, who lists a Rector Street address, was taken into custody shortly after 3 p.m. and charged with felony counts of aggravated assault and terroristic threatening, each punishable by up to six years in prison, and misdemeanor counts of third-degree endangering the welfare of a minor and violation of a no-contact order.

Henderson was being held on a $20,000 bond and was set to appear Friday in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, shortly after 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Hot Springs police Officer Jason Greene was dispatched to the 700 block of Park Avenue regarding threats made to a local woman.

The victim told Greene over the phone her ex-boyfriend, identified as Henderson, had made threats to her, stating, "If you leave, I'm going to run you off the road and kill you." She noted she had their child inside the car with her at the time.

It was also noted the victim had a valid court order barring Henderson from contact with her that was issued on Aug. 11, 2020.

While still on the phone with Greene, the victim informed him that Henderson was "actively hitting her vehicle with his vehicle." A few moments later, she said Henderson had left headed toward downtown on Park Avenue.

Officers located Henderson, driving a white 2009 Honda Accord, in the 400 block of Park and pulled him over and took him into custody.

Officers noted the victim's car had three areas of impact with white paint transfer to her vehicle.

Henderson was previously arrested on June 28 on felony charges of residential burglary, first-degree criminal mischief, theft of property, interference with emergency communication and assault on a family or household member involving an incident with the same victim.

He was released that same day on a $8,500 bond and on Aug. 11 a no-contact order was issued. He pleaded not guilty to the charges in Garland County Circuit Court on Oct. 15 and is scheduled for a hearing on the admissibility of any statements he made on Jan. 19.
