The noun "quintessence" refers to a perfect representation of something. The HSACF Board of Directors believes Don Munro, a former member of both our board and the Arkansas Community Foundation, exemplifies a "quintessential gentleman philanthropist."
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Don for the recent contribution of $800,000 in his honor by the Walton Family Charitable Support Foundation to the Don Munro Building Community Endowment with the Arkansas Community Foundation.
During 10-plus years on the state community foundation board, Don was instrumental in creating the statewide affiliate network, including the Hot Springs Area Community Foundation. His 30-plus years of service to the community foundation has allowed the Hot Springs affiliate to grant over $14 million to local area nonprofits since 1991.
