A Glenwood teen was arrested on felony warrants late Saturday stemming from allegations he attacked and robbed a Pencil Bluff woman at a Hot Springs gas station in February.

Ethan Clay Hill, 18, was initially arrested by Glenwood police and later picked up by Garland County sheriff's deputies shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday on felony counts of robbery, punishable by up to 20 years in prison, and breaking or entering, punishable by up to six years.

Hill was later released on a $7,500 bond and is set to appear April 19 in Garland County District Court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on Feb. 14, a Pencil Bluff woman reported she was robbed around 3 a.m. at the Big Red Valero, 3544 Airport Road, by an unknown male.

The victim said she had just exited the store and was approaching her vehicle parked at the gas pump when she noticed a white male wearing a gray hoodie and green pants standing next to her car.

She said the male approached her and began talking to her while she was pumping gas into her car. Then she alleges the male pulled a glass bottle from his pocket and struck her on the head with it, causing it to shatter.

She said she stumbled backward from the blow and the male then opened her driver's side door, entered her car, took a pack of cigarettes and a lighter from her center console and then got into a dark-colored Chevrolet pickup truck and fled the scene.

Sheriff's investigators obtained surveillance footage from the store showing a male, later identified as Hill, entering the store prior to the robbery and attempting to take items from the cigarette rack behind the register while the clerk was preoccupied. Investigators obtained several screenshots of the male, showing his uncovered face and side profile.

Montgomery County Sheriff David White and Lt. Greg Harmon later identified the male as Hill based on the photos and "previous dealings with him in Montgomery County." They also noted the pickup truck the victim described was one Hill was "known to travel in."

Warrants for Hill were issued on March 8 and he was arrested in Glenwood.
