Teen driver flees wreck

A Jeep Compass was involved in a rollover wreck with a Chevrolet pickup truck at West Belding and Oakcliff streets shortly before 10 a.m. Friday.

The juvenile driver, who was at fault in the wreck, fled the scene, but was located nearby. Cpl. Patrick Langley said the juvenile was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, obstruction of government operations for initially giving a false name, minor in possession of alcohol, careless and prohibited driving, no license and no insurance.

He was taken to an area hospital for treatment of minor injuries. The other driver was not injured.
