James Martin, director of the Garland County 911 Communications Center, recently announced three promotions at the center.

"These promotions are the result of independent emergency communications testing, as well as a series of independent and internal interviews," Martin said in a news release.

Gina Wright was promoted from Level III telecommunicator to Level IV shift supervisor.

Wright has served as a Level III telecommunicator with the Garland County Communications Center for five years. As a Level III, Wright served alongside the shift supervisor for several years and has filled in as shift supervisor for the past two and a half months. Wright brings over 200 hours of specialized training into her new position, Martin said.

Adam Gardner was promoted from Level II telecommunicator to Level III telecommunicator.

Gardner has served as a telecommunicator with the Garland County Communications Center for four years. "Adam has proven himself reliable and dependable, as well as eager to learn and progress," Martin said.

Gardner has completed nearly 200 hours of training, holds multiple certifications and is one of six Garland County telecommunicators who holds the specialized certification of tactical dispatcher.

Melissa Albey was promoted from Level I telecommunicator to Level II telecommunicator.

Albey has served as a telecommunicator with the Garland County Communications Center for three years. "Melissa has a background in psychiatric care and displays her compassion and understanding on all of her calls for service. This has proven to be useful on many occasions," Martin said.

Albey has completed nearly 150 hours of certified communications training and is "eager to add to her knowledge base, once COVID is behind us and classes continue to open back up," Martin said.

"Please join us in congratulating Gina, Adam and Melissa on completing the processes and their resulting promotions," he said.
