A local man was arrested Friday on multiple felony warrants stemming from allegations he threatened to kill a local couple, their juvenile son, their friend and her juvenile daughter on July 4 and has stalked them in the past.

Todd Martin Walker, 59, of 278 Jacoway Lane, was taken into custody at his residence shortly after 9:30 a.m. on five felony counts of first-degree terroristic threatening and three felony counts of second-degree stalking, each punishable by up to six years in prison.

Walker was later released on a $132,500 bond and is set to appear on Aug. 9 in Garland County District Court. Walker lists no prior felony history, but was arrested July 4 on a misdemeanor count of harassment involving the same victims and later released on a $1,000 bond. He pleaded not guilty on July 8 and is set for trial on the charge on Sept. 2 in district court.

According to the probable cause affidavit, on July 4, a woman reported that her neighbor, identified as Walker, came to her house creating a disturbance. She said he walked up to their fence and was "yelling obscenities" and threatening to kill her, her husband, their juvenile son, her female friend and the friend's juvenile daughter.

She said Walker also destroyed part of the fence on their property and crossed over into their property at one point.

On July 7, Garland County sheriff's Investigator Charlie Mowery interviewed the couple's friend and she reportedly confirmed she was at the couple's house on July 4 and that Walker was yelling obscenities.

She said at one point Walker stated he would kill anyone on the couple's property, noting she was in fear for her and her daughter during the incident.

On July 12, Mowery interviewed the couple and noted their statements were "very consistent" with one another. The husband stated they had been having "ongoing issues" with Walker and on July 4 he started cursing at all of them from his boat.

Walker then allegedly parked his boat and approached the couple's property. He spoke to their son and their friend's daughter and told them to come to him. He then allegedly told them he would kill the boy's parents and "anyone on their property." Then he damaged the fence and crossed onto their property, they said.

The couple told Mowery they were in fear for themselves and the children on the property. The husband pulled a gun from under a towel "to defend the parties on his property." At that point, Walker allegedly told him, "Just shoot me."

The affidavit notes that since Dec. 17, 2020, Walker has allegedly harassed and threatened the couple resulting in multiple reports being filed with the sheriff's department. The couple noted they live in fear while at their residence that Walker will "do something to harm them, their son or cause damage to their property."

Warrants for Martin's arrest were issued on July 27 and served on Friday.
