The investigation continued Wednesday into an incident Tuesday evening in which two men suffered gunshot wounds in what they claimed was an accidental shooting in the Pearcy area, Garland County sheriff's Deputy Courtney Kizer told The Sentinel-Record.

"They are working on it still," Kizer, the department's public information officer, said Wednesday. "They are doing interviews today (Wednesday)."

The men were brought by private vehicle to the Pearcy Store, 6039 Airport Road, at around 5 p.m. Tuesday, where they were met by first responders from 70 West Fire & Rescue, LifeNet and the sheriff's office.

Tuesday night deputies were searching for the firearm which was apparently thrown out of a window of the vehicle and initially it was uncertain where the shooting actually took place, Kizer said Tuesday.

"Deputies and investigators are sorting out the information and talking to witnesses. This incident is considered under investigation," Kizer said Tuesday.
