Hot Springs man killed in rollover wreck at Bismarck

A Hot Springs man was killed Thursday night in a one-vehicle rollover wreck in Bismarck in Hot Spring County, according to an Arkansas Department of Public Safety fatal crash summary.

Ronald Joe O'Keefe, 72, driving a 2021 Toyota, was reportedly northbound on Small Dike Road, off Highway 7 south, in Bismarck around 8:30 p.m. when he crossed over into the southbound lane, reentered the roadway and then lost control.

The vehicle rolled over several times, ejecting O'Keefe, and came to final rest in the southbound lane. O'Keefe was pronounced dead at the scene by Hot Spring County Coroner Jason Chenault.

The report notes conditions were clear and dry at the time of the wreck which was investigated by Arkansas State Police.
