After an 18-month closure, we were able to safely reopen July of this year. Our staff is excited to see what new friends the new year will bring. We have completely revised the activity program under Mariea to include daily exercise and physical games. We have added weekly cooking activities where they prepare their own snack and occasional lunch. We have also added daily sensory stimulating activities along with daily cognitive exercise. In the new year, we plan to bring an art program back to get everyone's creative juices flowing.

The V.I.P. of The Caring Place is hands down our kitchen manager, Miss Renita. She tirelessly prepares healthy from scratch lunches every day. She strives to offer a variety of color and flavors to stimulate appetite. She plans her meals and snacks to offer dementia-friendly foods that are attractive, easy to eat, sustaining, and comforting.

I would also like to thank LeeAnne, Kassy, and Keshia for establishing and maintaining a standard of care that addresses individual needs, encourages independence, while preserving rights, and dignity.

Lastly a special thank you to our board and their continued commitment.
