March 2020 brought fitness centers to a halt, forcing them to close doors and cancel classes. While many places were scrambling to come up with a solution, Jazzercise Inc. was quickly pivoting to online classes and local livestreaming.

Jazzercise Hot Springs followed their lead, continuing to engage customers through social media groups, online workout challenges, local livestreaming classes, outdoor classes and opening their doors as the state allowed. Since May 2020, the local Hot Springs center has been open with stringent cleaning guidelines and limited attendance to allow for 12 feet between participants.

"We quickly learned how to livestream for our customers in April, first through Facebook and now through a streaming platform service. We stream from the center and we can even stream from home if a situation calls for it, such as the recent winter weather," said Miranda Penor, owner and instructor.

"We have successfully kept our doors open by following the guidelines mandated by the state. This has really helped the customers that have been coming to class feel safe enough to be there. We have even had outdoor classes as weather allows," Penor said.

"I am so proud of our team for taking the challenge to teach during the pandemic, to learn how to engage customers through a camera, and continue to offer the best workout. I am equally grateful to our customers that have supported us through this historic event. We've been in this community for almost 30 years and not even a pandemic will stop us from offering this amazing program to our community."
