A Hot Springs woman was killed and a child and a Hot Springs Village woman were injured in a head-on collision Monday night on Highway 5 north, according to Arkansas State Police.

Sarah Pate-Baker, 23, of Hot Springs, driving a 2011 Kia Sportage, was traveling north on Highway 5 with a female child, age not listed, as a passenger shortly before 7:30 p.m. when she reportedly crossed the centerline and struck a southbound 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee, driven by Connie Miller, 70, of Hot Springs Village.

Pate-Baker, Miller and the child were all injured and taken to CHI St. Vincent Hot Springs where Pate-Baker was later pronounced dead by Dr. Ross Brown.

The state police report notes road conditions were clear and dry at the time of the wreck.
