OPINION

Stiffing working Americans

Dear editor:

I've written about this before, but now the longest-serving woman in Congress, Democrat Rep. Marcy Kaptur, backs me up -- essentially, the Democrats no longer support working Americans, especially those in the middle of the country. She says exactly what I've said before: They only care about the elites in the Northeast and the Left Coast because that's who gives them money.

They may give the teachers in places like Chicago a nod because they also give them money but it comes at the expense of the children there; it's why some of the poorest-performing schools in the country were in places they control. It's also one of the reasons they so hated Trump and Betsy DeVos, who wanted to give kids and their parents more choice but they knew that would weaken the hold the teachers' unions had and thus less money for the Democrats. They'd rather throw another generation under the bus for the sake of their money and power.

It's also why it was so easy to shut down the Keystone pipeline. They don't care about these people because they live in the wrong part of the country. These people actually work and get dirty for a living and they only care about the rich and the liberal elites that give money to them. Mike Bloomberg is a good example. He's given millions of dollars to the Democrats. He feigned he was a Republican once to get elected mayor of New York on the coattails of Rudy Giuliani, but he makes his money investing in the hard work of others. He once, when asked, said and showed his ignorance: Farming is easy, just put some seeds in the ground and cover it up. Yep, farmers, it's that easy; don't even need a brain as far as Bloomers thinks. I would venture to say it's all he and his elitist liberal friends know about how food gets to a store or how electricity gets to their house. Nothing.

Harry Truman, maybe the last really great Democrat president, once said: If you leave Washington rich you're a crook. I'm sure he knew lots of them in his day and the Swamp hasn't changed much. It's one of the big reasons they hated Trump so much and don't forget the members of the Lame Stream media are also part of the D.C. establishment Elites.

I do have a way to get that pipeline going again. Just put Hunter Biden on the board and pay him a million dollars a year and don't forget the 10% for the big guy. Thank you, Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur, for reminding us there used to be at least a few Democrat members of Congress who actually cared for those working men and women that don't just live in the Northeast or the Left Coast.
