United Way of the Ouachitas has announced the addition of My'Liea Turner as the organization's new finance director.
Turner will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the company including financial statement presentation, budgeting, financial tracking, and analysis, a news release said.
Turner obtained an Associate Degree in Arts through Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas. She is currently pursuing an Associate Degree of Business Management in Accounting.
Turner, a Hot Springs native, is "very excited to be joining the United Way team. She has been involved in Outreach Programs for young adults and has organized giveaways for the homeless. She is very passionate about helping the community and looks forward to building a better future for the generations to come," the release said.
"My'Liea is an outstanding addition to our team," said Executive Director Sarah Fowler. "She brings a fresh perspective to our mission and we couldn't be more than happy to have her."
