One of three vaccination clinics over the next week is scheduled for Saturday in conjunction with Tesla Fest at Mid-America Science Museum.

The museum, 500 Mid-America Blvd., is partnering with the Arkansas Foundation for Medical Care and the Arkansas Department of Health to provide the clinic between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. to those 12 years old and older, according to a news release from the city of Hot Springs.

Youths between 12 and 17 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and will receive an Arkansas Game and Fish gift certificate once the vaccine is administered.

Those 18 years and older will receive their choice of a $20 Arkansas Scholarship Lottery scratch-off or an Arkansas Game and Fish gift certificate.

Health officials will be administering the Pfizer vaccine, which is a two-dose series. The second dose event will take place on Saturday, July 31, at the museum.

No appointment is necessary to attend the clinic, but individuals need to bring a photo ID and insurance card, if available, the release said.

Also Saturday, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services are partnering with organizations in Hot Springs to bring a COVID-19 vaccination clinic to Wade Street Park.

The free vaccination clinic will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 300 Wade St. Those interested in a vaccine must call to schedule an appointment and must arrive 10 minutes before their appointment time. The clinic will offer both the Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.

Wellness screenings will also be available with no appointment needed. Preventive screenings will be offered for blood pressure, glucose and cholesterol, as well as colorectal testing kits.

To set up an appointment for a vaccination, call 501-683-4960 or 501-912-7402. If a second dose is required, a follow-up appointment will be scheduled. Anyone receiving a vaccination is encouraged to arrive 10 minutes prior to their appointment time.

HUD worked with Arkansas BlueCross BlueShield, Vaccinate the Natural State, Arkansas Minority Health Commission, Arkansas Department of Health and the Housing Authority of the city of Hot Springs to bring the clinic to Hot Springs.

The third clinic will be held from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 17, at Bank OZK Arena, 134 Convention Blvd., during the Spa City Classic Pickleball Championship.

The clinic is provided by the AFMC and ADH, and they will be administering the Johnson and Johnson vaccine for free to those 18 years and older. Those who are vaccinated will receive their choice of a $20 Arkansas Scholarship Lottery scratch-off or an Arkansas Game and Fish gift certificate.

No appointment is necessary, but individuals need to bring a photo ID and insurance card, if available.
