Hot Springs to host LeadAR Class 19
The University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture Cooperative Extension Service's LeadAR program will be in Hot Springs today and Friday.
LeadAR, now in its 37th year, is designed to help Arkansans broaden their understanding of issues and opportunities facing our state and strengthen their ability to make a difference, a news release said. Members of Class 19 will learn about Hot Springs infrastructure and public health programs during the two-day session.
The seminar has been coordinated by former LeadAR participants City Director Karen Garcia, Jo West Davis, retired county treasurer, and John Hoefl, financial adviser, Aspire Wealth Builders.
Narcotics Anonymous meets at noon Monday through Saturday and at 2 p.m. Sundays at 315 W. Grand Ave. This is a 12-step recovery program for people for whom drugs have become a major problem. The Helpline number is 501-321-8700.
Alcoholics Anonymous meets daily at 8 p.m.; at 8 a.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday; at noon Monday-Saturday; and at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The speaker meeting is at 11 a.m. Sunday.
