Cobras reunite

Dear editor:

The 15th Annual Fountain Lake All-Class Reunion will be held Saturday, June 12, in Sargo Auditorium on the Fountain Lake campus.

The Fountain Lake Alumni Association has sponsored the reunion for 16 years with an event each year except 2020 due to COVID concerns.

The FLAA is excited to be having an in-person event for 2021! This year's theme is "Cobras Reunited."

Registration starts at 9 a.m. with the program to follow at 10 a.m. The "Wonderful 1's" graduating class will be honored, 2021 scholarship awardees will be introduced, guest speakers from various graduating classes and the Fountain Lake Administration will make presentations. After intermission, entertainment will be provided by Kristen Brown and Friends, a bluegrass group, and the Cobra video will be presented.

If you were ever a Cobra, you are welcome to attend. That includes all former students, graduates, faculty and administrators.

Once a Cobra, always a Cobra! Wear your purple and gold and come join the fun!

Play 'great success'

Dear editor:

I am with the Murder and Macabre Mystery Dinner Theater Troupe and we perform twice a year at the Porterhouse. This year, with COVID restrictions easing up, we decided to help kick off summer by doing a Scooby-Doo Murder Mystery during Memorial Day weekend.

We want to give a huge thank you to the Hot Springs Visitor Center, the Hot Springs Event Page, The Sentinel-Record, and all the local hotels who helped advertise our production and made it a great success. Also, another huge thank you to Joe and Penny Gargano for always supporting us. Hot Springs is truly a great place to live. Thank you again.
