After a 16-month hiatus due to COVID-19 related precautions, the Hot Springs Concert Band has announced its 2021 concert season.

"Although the band is getting a late start into its 46th year, it is all that more excited to be playing again and anticipating seeing all of the folks who enjoy its music year in and year out. And, the band is also looking forward to seeing some new faces in the audiences," a news release said.

"This year's abbreviated season will start out with three summer concerts. While these concerts in years past have typically been held outdoors, this year they will be indoors in a cooler venue thanks to Fountain Lake High School," the release said.

All the concerts will be held on Mondays and begin at 7 p.m. The concert dates are June 28, July 12 and July 26. The concerts will take place in Fountain Lake High School Auditorium, 4207 Park Ave.

The theme of the first concert is "It's The Twenties Again!"

"Join us in a musical flashback to a century ago and help us bring that decade back to life and rekindle memories of music, movies and shows of the era," the release said.

There is no admission for the summer concerts, but the audience will have an opportunity to give a donation which helps to offset some of the band's operating expenses.

An Autumn Concert will be held on Sunday, Oct. 3, and a Christmas Concert on Thursday, Dec. 9, both in the Woodlands Auditorium in Hot Springs Village. More information on the concerts will be released at a future date.

"The band is looking forward to making music for you again, and is hoping to see you at the concerts," the release said.
