Earth Angel

The Earth Angel Recycling Program is the city's curbside recycling service. It is provided free of charge as part of the services provided by the Solid Waste Department. "Recycling is the best way to protect the environment from overburdened landfills while reducing costs. By taking part in the Earth Angel Recycling Program, you have the opportunity to help ensure a healthy future for your community," the Solid Waste Department said in a news release.

The Earth Angel truck collects aluminum beverage cans, brown paper grocery bags, corrugated cardboard, leaves, grass and small brush, newsprint, plastic grades No. 1 and No. 2, and telephone books.

The city will furnish the container and a calendar of scheduled collection days. The container should be placed curbside prior to 6 a.m. for pickup. Anyone who is not currently participating the Earth Angel Recycling Program and would like to get involved can call 321-6911.
