Vernon Grisham, a World War II veteran, is the original owner who started the business working out of his home in 1968 and incorporated it in 1971.
Grisham, after being discharged from the Army, was inspired to launch his own HVAC company after visiting an air-conditioned movie theater back in the day when AC was a luxury not everyone experienced. While he didn't remember much of the movie afterward, he recalled how he felt throughout those two hours.
Fast forward several years later and Jason Vincent's father-in-law, Dale Kemp, began working under Grisham. In 1989, he bought the business from Grisham and Jason later followed in their footsteps -- purchasing the business and all assets in 2015 with his wife, Paula.
"While the business had seen tremendous growth since its original start, I felt like there was room for growth and improvement," Jason said. "In 2018, we officially launched One Hour Heating & Air Conditioning in Hot Springs, Arkansas."
In 2021, "we are proudly celebrating our 50th anniversary of the family business servicing the community. Our kids are now a part of the company as well, with our daughter working part-time in the office and our younger son frequently joining our team on the field. We are beyond thankful for the support our families have received over the past five decades and look forward to providing every single customer with honest work and an excellent experience for many more years," Jason says.
