Leslie Henderson has been named the newest co-owner of City Plumbing, Heating & Electric Inc., a news release said.

Henderson was hired March 2006 by the former owner, Dixie Gossett, as well as co-owners Rick Bonte, Ronnie Carroll and Elwen Guthrie.

"After 21 years as a faithful leader, Rick Bonte retired on Oct. 1, 2021. Mr. Bonte entrusted Mrs. Henderson to carry on his legacy and sold his part of the company to her at that time. She will continue in his stead with owners, Ronnie Carroll and Elwen Guthrie," the release said.

As the client care representative for the last 15 years, Henderson has won the HSV Voice Readers' Choice Best Secretary Award in 2009, 2015, 2016 and 2017. In July, Henderson passed the Arkansas Contractor's Business & Law Exam and holds one of the contractor licenses for the company.

Henderson said her career with City Plumbing, Heating & Electric has been a "challenging and rewarding one -- challenging because of the male-dominated trades and rewarding because of the relationships she has developed with employees and others in business."

Henderson and her husband, Jonathan, have four children, Hunter, Tyler, Brody and Piper. They are actively involved in their church, The Assembly Hot Springs, and "she's excited to be a part of the future for City Plumbing, Heating & Electric Inc.," the release said.
