Notes: Fourth place in 4A-7 is up for grabs at Beckham Memorial Field. Fountain Lake turned the tables on former coach J.D. Plumlee last season after losing 41-16 to Malvern in 2019. Plumlee, a 1998 Lakeside graduate, went 10-11 in two years at Fountain Lake after working under Billy Dawson at Russellville for two seasons. Plumlee and fellow Cyclone assistant Lance Parker (Sheridan) got head-coaching jobs after Russellville won the Class 6A title in 2016. ... Kenny Shelton, taking the Fountain Lake job when the coach originally hired to replace Tommy Gilleran unexpectedly resigned, gained a marquee victory in Week 5 at Nashville, 54-21. Shelton is only the fifth Fountain Lake head coach since 1981, Gilleran winning the 3A championship in 2009 before going to Lake Hamilton in 2017. ... Cobras finish at Haskell Harmony Grove and at home against conference co-leader Ashdown. ... Malvern plays Nashville at home next week and finishes at Arkadelphia.

• Jessieville (4-2, 3-1 3A-5, No. 14 in 3A) at Fouke (2-5, 1-3 3A-5, No. 35 in 3A). Hootens.com favors Jessieville by 31.

Coaches: T.J. Burk, Jessieville, 33-27, sixth season. Jerry Littleton, Fouke, 7-16, third season.

Last week: Jesseville won 28-27 at Centerpoint. Fouke lost 48-7 to Glen Rose.

Last year: Jessieville beat Fouke 42-13.

Notes: Jessieville, which plays Prescott at home next week and finishes at Horatio, envisions a share of 3A-5 title with help tonight from Centerpoint against Glen Rose. Prescott finishes at Glen Rose, both teams 4-0 in conference play. ... In perhaps T.J. Burk's watershed victory as Jessieville coach, the Lions rallied from 14 points down to stun Centerpoint 28-27 last week at Knights Stadium. Senior QB Carson Hair and TB Matthew Huff combined for 343 yards with Hair, a four-year starter, throwing two TD passes to junior Brentenn Johnson. The Lions have won three straight conference games since a 46-24 loss at Glen Rose. ... Fouke, which beat Mineral Springs in Week 2, lost 52-14 to Centerpoint and 56-0 to Prescott, scratching out a 29-28 win over Horatio. The Panthers play at Bismarck next week and finish vs. Genoa Central.

• Eight-man: Marvell-Elaine (3-3, 2-3 2A-South) at Cutter Morning Star (2-4, 1-3 2A-South).

Coaches: Matt Kinsinger, CMS, 2-14, second season. Chester Smith, Marvell-Elaine, 7-44, sixth season.

Last week: CMS lost 59-6 at Woodlawn. Marvell-Elaine beat Spring Hill 28-14. Last year: No meeting.

Notes: Both teams played 11-man football last year, CMS going 0-10 and Marvell-Elaine 1-6 in a COVID-shortened season. ... CMS, which made 2A playoffs in 2019, has beaten Hermitage 46-14 and Cedar Ridge 54-16 since dropping to eight-man variety. CMS plays its first eight-man game against Mountain Pine next week at Stanley May Field. ... Marvell-Elaine, a consolidated school in Phillips County, beat Rose Bud 28-16 after a 32-14 road loss to Mountain Pine, which won an eight-man state title last year. The school and football field is in Marvell. The Panthers end the regular season tonight.

• Eight-man: Mountain Pine (4-3, 3-1 2A-South) at Hermitage (0-6, 0-5 2A-South).

Coaches: Sam Counce, Mountain Pine. Chase Ellis, Hermitage.

Last week: Mountain Pine lost 48-30 to Strong-Huttig. Hermitage lost 42-8 to Woodlawn.

Notes: Mountain Pine moves up Hermitage game by two weeks, filling an open date. Red Devils won three of first four games before losing 58-40 to Little Rock Hall. Reached 2A playoffs, losing to Earle, in last 11-man season. ... Hermitage, in Bradley County, dropped to eight-man football after fighting a numbers battle for years. Hermits have scored in three straight games since being outscored 154-0 by Strong-Huttig, Hall and Spring Hill.
