The Garland County Library will livestream its interview with Arkansas author Tricia Goyer from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday.

This is the second installment in the library's new Author Talk series, featuring prominent local authors. Viewers can access the interview on Facebook Live at http://www.facebook.com/garlandcountylibrary and the library's YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/garlandcolibrary. There is no cost or registration required to access the video. Live viewers will have the opportunity to post questions for Goyer to answer during the interview; however, a recording of the interview will also be available online for later viewing, according to a news release.

"Goyer is the award-winning author of over 80 books. Her work spans multiple genres and topics, including Amish fiction, World War II fiction, children's picture books, and nonfiction books on teen pregnancy, parenting, home schooling, and prayer. A home-schooling mother of 10, Goyer also serves as a podcast host, a speaker, and a writing mentor through WriteThatBook.Club," the release said.

"Tricia is a true Renaissance woman in the writing world," library staff member Chanan Emmons said in the release. "While her body of work is huge and varied, it seems to coalesce around a common theme: strong women rising to meet life's biggest challenges."

In her 2009 book, "Blue Like Play Dough," she details her own journey through teen pregnancy to motherhood. After the birth of her three biological children, she went on to adopt seven more, as well as to become a mentor to countless other young women in challenging situations.

She co-founded Hope Pregnancy Ministries in northwest Montana and currently leads a Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) group for mothers aged 19 and younger. According to her website, Goyer "strives to empower women to dream what's possible, whether it's in their families, their homes, or their work," the release said.
