76th Annual Red Rose Presentation

Sixteen young ladies made debut on Dec. 18, 2021

The Hot Springs Debutante Coterie presented 16 young ladies at the 76th Annual Red Rose Presentation in the Arlington Resort Hotel & Spa's Crystal Ballroom on Saturday, Dec. 18, 2021.

The ballroom was decorated with hundreds of red roses that provided a stunning backdrop for the presentation by Master of Ceremony Mr. Forrest Spicher. Music by the Clyde Pound Trio with C.E. Askew on drums, David Higginbotham on upright bass, and Clyde Pound on keyboard, accompanied the young ladies during the presentation.

Afterward, the Debutantes and their families enjoyed a private candlelight dinner in the Venetian Room, which provided a beautiful setting adorned with bouquets of red roses and festive holiday decorations.

The previous evening, the Debutantes and their escorts were treated to an elegant rehearsal dinner, held in the Fountain Room. Hostesses were Ms. Sherri Arman, Mr. Gaylon Boshears, Jr., Dr. Lyndsey and Mr. Michael Dolan, Mr. and Mrs. Randy Fortner, Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Hollis, Jr., Ms. Malka Ivy, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Kuhn, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Malone, Mr. and Mrs. Len Pitcock, Ms. Kala Rogers, Mr. and Mrs. Jeremy Stone.

"The Hot Springs Debutante Program works to impart the social and moral responsibility of community service through participation in Our Promise Cancer Resources, http://www.ourpromise.info. This local nonprofit organization provides financial, professional, and educational assistance to cancer patients and their families. All funds raised by Our Promise Cancer Resources stay in the local community – an important factor to both Our Promise and the Hot Springs Debutante Coterie. Over the past eight years, the Debutante Coterie has raised over $85,000 for Our Promise, with this year's guests contributing over $8,000 to the grand total," the Coterie said in a news release.

Hot Springs Debutante Coterie Sponsors are Mrs. Brian Gehrki, Mrs. John Vines, Mrs. Thomas Pierce III, Mrs. Archie VanGorder III, Mrs. Michael Wood, and Mrs. John C. Horner III. Advisors to the board are former sponsors: Mrs. Brad Hudgens, Mrs. Cecil Cupp III, Mrs. Kirby Williams, Mrs. William Blocker and Mrs. William Ahlbrandt.

The young ladies making their debut were:

Miss Abigail Elizabeth Ballard, daughter of Ms. Kathy Ballard and Mr. Jason Ballard, who attends Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She was presented by her father and escorted by her brother, Elijah Jay Ballard, who attends the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Jonesboro.

Miss Kathryn Marie Ballard, daughter of Ms. Kathy Ballard and Mr. Jason Ballard, who attends the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She was presented by her father and escorted by her brother, Jeremiah Jason Ballard, who is employed by the Jackson Law Firm.

Miss Taylor Ann Bledsoe, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bartley Bledsoe, who attends the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She was presented by her father and escorted by Noah Andrew Borel, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Borel, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs.

Miss Madison Grace Brammer, daughter of Mrs. Kyle Sudmeyer and Mr. Michael Brammer, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs. She was presented by her stepfather and escorted by Thomas William Sexson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Kevin William Sexson, who is a firefighter for the Hot Spring Village Fire Department.

Miss Emily Grace Brasfield, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jason Brasfield, who attends the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. She was presented by her father and escorted by her cousin, Carson Chandler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Chandler, who is employed by Rausch Coleman Homes in Oklahoma.

Miss Mallory Elizabeth Bratton, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Travis Bratton, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs. She was presented by her father and escorted by Gabriel Brian Meggers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Brian Meggers, who attends the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

Miss Emily Grace Bullen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bullen, who attends Arkansas State University in Jonesboro. She was presented by her father and escorted by Hayden Martin Capps, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bullen, who attends the University of Central Arkansas in Conway.

Miss Jordan Mikayla Foshee, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Michael Foshee, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs. She was presented by her father and escorted by Bryce Logan Bates, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs.

Miss Evelyn Grace Gann, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Randall and Mr. and Mrs. John Gann, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs. She was presented by her father and escorted by her brother, Jonathan Paul Gann, who is a licensed insurance adjuster.

Miss Madeline Elizabeth Gehrki, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Brian J. Gehrki, who attends the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She was presented by her father and escorted by William Donald Ivy, son of Ms. Malka Ivy and Dr. Donald Ivy, who attends Lakeside High School in Hot Springs.

Miss Maddie Grace Gilleran, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gilleran, who attends the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. She was presented by her father and escorted by Byron Christopher Louk, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chad Louk, who attends the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Miss Natalie Nora Jennings, daughter of Ms. Melissa Williams and Mr. Charles Jennings, who attends the Arkansas Tech University in Russellville. She was presented by her father, and escorted by Ashton Cole Dorathy, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Dorathy, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs.

Miss Sydney Ella-Jeanne Lovell, daughter of Ms. Pamela Anderson and Mr. Bradford Lovell, who attends Hendrix College in Conway. She was presented by her father and escorted by Alan Wendell Godwin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Alan Godwin, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs.

Miss Ella Keyi Pace, daughter of Dr. Lori Tsui and Dr. John Pace, who attends the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. She was presented by her father and escorted by Hunter Angeles, son of Mrs. Imelda Lipsey and Mr. Pedro Angeles, who attends the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville.

Miss Risa Trishann Richens, daughter of Mrs. Jason Hayden and Mr. Robert Richens, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs. She was presented by her father and escorted by Malique Hill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Hill, and is a member of the merchandising service team at Lowes.

Miss Rachel Lynn Snider, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Snider, who attends National Park College in Hot Springs. She was presented by her father and escorted by her Adrian Alexis Santillan, a graduate of ABC Barber College and is a licensed barber with Spa City Barber Shop.
