"Trippel is accomplished in watercolor, pastel, collage, acrylic and many other mediums. She is currently focused on creating acrylic dyed-tissue collages, acrylic and ink paintings, art quilts and polymer clay. As an abstract realist, she seeks to capture the spiritual essence of her subjects, inviting the viewer to participate in the creative process of interpreting her vibrant paintings."

In addition to her acrylic dyed-tissue collages, Trippel's popular small acrylic and ink paintings of local scenes and of Arkansas birds will be on display for the month of July.

Kunath, also a Hot Springs Village resident, moved to Arkansas from California in 2005.

"She worked in pastels for many years, winning numerous awards and teaching basic pastel techniques," the release said. "For the past three years, she has been creating paintings in acrylic, using air and pour techniques, and in alcohol ink. Kunath is inspired by the natural beauty of Arkansas and is motivated to recreate that beauty in her paintings. A lover of vivid color and abstract designs, her compositions are full of passion, energy and color. They are conversation pieces, inviting the viewer to explore the depths within."
