A Hot Springs probationer with a felony drug charge pending was arrested late Thursday on multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from Arkansas State Police in a stolen vehicle and on foot with drugs in his possession.

Hunter Lee Hollingsworth, 32, who lists a Long Beach Point address, was taken into custody around 8:15 p.m. and charged with felony counts of theft by receiving over $25,000 and unauthorized use of another person's property to facilitate a crime, each punishable by up to 20 years, fleeing in a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance, meth, each punishable by up to six years, and misdemeanor counts of fleeing on foot, reckless driving and speeding.

Hollingsworth, who was also cited for seven counts of improper lane usage, six counts of improper turn signal, five counts of failure to obey a stop sign and not wearing a seat belt, was being held on a $15,500 bond and was set to appear Friday in Garland County District Court. According to court records, he has a felony possession of fentanyl charge pending from April 29 and was convicted of theft by receiving on May 27, 2021, and sentenced to six years in prison, with all of it suspended.

According to the probable cause affidavit, shortly after 8 p.m., Trooper 1st Class Dylan Robbins spotted a red 2007 Chevrolet pickup truck westbound on Spring Street and noted the license plate and description matched one reported stolen earlier from Malvern and notified Cpl. Andrew Ault.

Cpl. Andrew Ault caught up to the truck and confirmed it was reported stolen so he activated his lights to make a traffic stop. The truck reportedly began to flee, running "multiple stop signs at high speed," and then "jumped the dirt median" on East Grand Avenue, cutting off oncoming traffic. It also drove into oncoming traffic several times "in blind curves and on hill crests."

The truck turned onto Chaucer Street where Robbins was able to "forcibly stop the truck by means of intentional intervention." The truck crashed into a ditch and overturned and the driver, later identified as Hollingsworth, jumped out and fled on foot.

Robbins and Ault chased him on foot and took him into custody in the woods near the vehicle. In checking his driver's license, they discovered he had multiple warrants, both felony and misdemeanor, and a suspended driver's license.

In searching Hollingsworth, the troopers also allegedly found a baggie with 1.2 gram of a white powder that later tested positive for meth. Hollingsworth also had a felony hold on him out of Saline County.
