The Fun City Chorus of Hot Springs will once again offer its "Singing Valentines" program for the Hot Springs area.

As they did in 2022, the Chorus members are offering both live performances by a nicely dressed quartet or "Virtual Valentines," which feature a recorded online performance personalized by the purchaser, a news release said.

"Either choice is a unique and thoughtful gift for local sweethearts," it said.

Recipients of the in-person Valentines receive a song, a rose and a box of chocolate. Both in-person and virtual Valentines and are priced at $50.

The Fun City Chorus celebrated its successful 2022 with an awards banquet on Jan. 26. Highlighted events were the Valentines program, the Chorus' successful participation in the stage production "Music Man" at the Pocket Theatre last summer, and the Chorus' successful Christmas shows in December, both at the Pocket Theatre and at The Vapors, according to the release.

Several awards were given, including Will Williams, Barbershopper of the Year, and Jimmy Leach, New Barbershopper of the Year.

"The Chorus hosted a successful guest night for prospective members on Jan. 23, which resulted in three new singers returning for rehearsal Monday night. Fun City is seeking more new members, and this is a great time to join with the chorus making plans for an even bigger 2023," the release said.
