Earth Angel

The Hot Springs Solid Waste Department has multiple events planned for 2023.

Residents can dispose of unwanted items for free at the Annual Spring Fling Cleanup event on Saturday, April 29, and Sunday, April 30. The event is sponsored by the Southwest Central Regional Solid Waste Planning Management District. There will be dumpster stations in each of the city districts for the duration of the event.

Tires, brush, paint or any other household hazardous waste will not be accepted at this event.

These products should not be disposed of in household drains or trash, or dumped on the ground. If stored improperly at home, such chemicals can be hazardous to children and pets, and can also cause hazardous fumes or fires.

Residents can dispose of household hazardous waste items at the Household Hazardous Waste event on Saturday, May 20, or Saturday, Oct. 14. These drive-thru events will take place from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the Garland County Fairgrounds, 4831 Malvern Ave.

Passenger tires (no rims) and electronic waste will also be accepted. However, this event is for household quantities only. Hazardous waste from companies/businesses will not be accepted.
