David Mark Moore, 61, of Hot Springs, went home to be with the Lord on May 31, 2023.

He was born on Dec. 15, 1961, in Newport, Ark., to John Calvin Moore Jr. and Patricia French Moore. He loved his family, the great outdoors and Arkansas Razorback sports. Family members lovingly recall the countless hours spent watching football, basketball and baseball with him, or getting a phone call from him during one of the games. He was thrilled beyond words when his daughters chose the University of Arkansas to pursue higher learning. Mark would take every opportunity to tell people how proud he was of his girls and the kind of people they turned out to be. He was a member of Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Hot Springs. Through years of employment as a radiation therapist, he treated countless cancer patients and provided quality-of-life care. He often took his work home with him, and could recall most patients and their stories decades after working with them.

Mark is preceded in death by his father, John Calvin Moore Jr.; mother-in-law, Marcell Blocker; a sister, Connie Ivy, and brother-in-law, Jackie.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Desiree Moore, of Hot Springs; two daughters, Hannah (Cole) Panko, of Denver, Colo., and Haley Moore, of Dallas, Texas; mother, Patricia French Moore; brother, Michael Moore; father-in-law, Alvin Blocker; sister-in-law, Linda Harvey (Gary); sister-in-law, Gina Voudren; and a host of nieces and nephews, all of whom he adored.

A memorial service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 7, at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home, with Brother Ronnie Inman officiating. Pallbearers will be Ron Swayze, Cole Panko, Byron Blocker, Randy Hall, Andrew Sutherland, Joshua Chin, Bryan Chin. Honorary pallbearer, Dan Gray. Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery.
